After five fantastic years, we are excited to offer this retreat once again!

Mar de Jade -- situated on the Pacific coast of Mexico between the blue-green sea and tropical mountainside of Chacala Beach -- is surrounded by natural beauty and tranquility. It is the ideal location to connect with yourself, deepen your practice, and explore the rich culture of Mexico.

Join Liza Toft and Eve Holbrook for a seven-day retreat in this spectacular location, 90 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta by car. Each day, we will teach two yoga classes in a beautiful studio overlooking the ocean, exploring asanas and pranayamas that connect us with and balance the various aspects of our elemental nature (earth, water, fire, air, and ether).

There will be an active practice in the morning and a restorative practice in the evening, both suitable for all levels. If you have any physical issues or injuries, we will help you modify for them.

Between sessions, we will have plenty of free time to swim and relax, receive spa treatments or partake in optional daily excursions such as a hike to a secluded beach with caves, a pre-Hispanic petroglyph trip, a Temezcal ceremony, whale watching, a traditional Mexican market, and trips to nearby fishing villages and towns (Chacala, Sayulita and San Pancho),

Prices range from $1650-$2950, depending on choice of accommodation (please go to mardejade.com for descriptions). This includes all yoga classes, meals, and seven nights accommodation. It does not include airfare to Puerto Vallarta, ground transportation, spa treatments, bar drinks, or gratuities.

An Early Bird Special is available through September 1. For more information or to register, contact Eve

Mar de Jade was created in 1983 in the spirit of active community service, gratitude for the natural environment, and cultivation of human life. To that end, it has founded numerous community projects, including regeneration of the land via non-toxic farming methods on a 19-acre organic farm, and an after-school program for local children in Las Varas, a nearby farming village. It is far more than a vacation destination, but a community I love to return to year after year.
